We got a P2C2 Award!
It was the final P2C2. And we are honored to have been awarded funding for the project "ENSO flavors during the Last Glacial Maximum: Assessing spatial variability under varying climate background conditions".
I'm extremely excited to be the PI on this project, and look forward to some really exciting - and somewhat daunting - science. We're going to be assessing variability across the tropical Pacific during the LGM, including the EEP, edge of the cold tongue, in the surface and subsurface to see how the pattern of tropical variability responds to changing climate background conditions. We'll be measuring some of those background conditions, inferring others, and using a lot of existing data while we individually analyze a LOT of forams.
As a bit of a side note, I'm very happy to have gotten a P2C2 award. They were always the top of my list, and while the program has been transformed into P4Climate, P2C2 will remain close to my heart.
