Sampling cores at LDEO

 TROPIC went to sample sediment cores from central equatorial Pacific core ML1208-17PC and eastern equatorial Pacific core VM21-30 for our ENSO Flavors project (NSF OCE 2202939). 

KB, KvP and ER joined PI Gerald Rustic at LDEO for a brief tour of the core lab and some work sampling sediments. The 17PC sediments were like modeling clay and absolutely full of forams. The VM21-30 sediments were... not exactly the same. It will certainly be a challenge getting enough forams from those!
